Sixth Form Leadership Team

Sixth Form Leadership Team
The Year 12 students have now decided that it is time to create their own leadership team. They want to organise a small group of 10 - 12 students who will become the 'voice' of all Post 16 students. They are aiming to focus on the daily running of the facilities, as well as providing a route to ensure that Post 16 studies is continually forward thinking and progressive.

Head Girl / Head Boy
The students will also select a Head boy and Head girl who will become the most influential and significant students in this school. This will be a role of responsibility and will be awarded to the students who have the most leadership potential. These 2 students will represent all post 16 students on formal occasions. Consequently, this will be a very prestigious role.

Decision making process - The Vote!
The students are currently organising a list of individuals who would be interested in becoming part of the leadership group. We will then organise a session for speeches and hold a formal voting process so that year 12 students have a genuine say in who is selected to represent them. Staff will also be invited to cast their votes. In the event of a tie-break situation, the school leadership team will oversee the final decision making process.

This will clearly become a very influential group of students who will help to steer the learning and teaching at this school and I look forward to the next few weeks as we prepare to decide on our first ever Sixth Form leadership team.
