I am delighted and very proud to announce that in December 2011, the Oxfordshire Junior Sports Person of the Year was awarded to our very own Hollie Roberts in Year 12.
She describes the evening :
'The evening was held at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford and I was lucky enough to be nominated as one of the 3 finalists. My brother and I prepared a routine which consisted of 2 Kata's and a fight scene involving karate, gymnastics and mixed martial arts. The presenters said a small piece about each of the 3 finalists and then we waited in silence to hear the winner announced....and it was me! '
Of winning this prestigious award, she says:
'I was overjoyed to have won this award, and very surprised. It definitely finished the year on a high. I was thrilled. Throughout the evening I had TV, newspaper and radio people coming to see me and congratulating me, asking for interviews. It really did make me feel so proud of myself and feel a great sense of achievement. It was great to be recognised for a sport that I enjoy doing and have always been dedicated to. '

Hollie's commitment, dedication and determination is remarkable and I am in awe of her talents and her potential.
